Rosemary Var. Verbenone

Rosmarinus Officinalis var. Verbenone

Rosemary is a small evergreen shrub with thick aromatic linear leaves which grow up to 1.5m in height. There are 3 principal chemotypes of Rosemarinus officinalus:
  • Camphor – borneol
  • 1,8 Cineole
  • Verbenone
SOiL produces the Verbenone variety, steam distilled from the leaves, flowers and twigs of the plant. Rosemary is a pale yellow to almost colorless oil with a strong, fresh, woody herbaceous and balsamic aroma. The verbenone variety is considered the most gentle of the Rosemary chemotypes. The percentage of verbenone in our oil is typically over 10%.
