Almost all eucalyptus are indigenous to Australia, with over 600 species of recorded Eucalyptus. The species most commonly used to produce essential oil is are those containing a high cineole content. Eucalyptus smithii, commonly grown in South Africa is the oil variety we are currently producing. Eucalyptus smithii is a colorless to pale yellow color with a fresh cineole type odor.
